Newsletter September 2022
In God is my salvation en my glory,
the rock of my strength and my refuge, is in God.

    Dear friends,

What an amazing month August was: celebrating the 30-year anniversary of Mision Adulam! We had wonderful times, it was great also that some of you joined through the Zoom link. Thank you, dear friends, for your love and commitment through so many years, we are very blessed. Felina and I are glad that we were joined by the Bolivian board and teams, many authorities and also Dave Medlock from the UK and Erwin Wietses & Henk Bosman both from the Netherlands. Friday we had the official celebration where we presented the ministry, especially the reach we had in the last 5 years.

Maybe the best part was the celebration in the midst of the church, in gratitude to Him, expressed in a time of worship and sharing how we work. Dependent on the Lord's intervention, sustained by the prayers of the saints (you) and seeing the Lord provide all we need to serve the ones who come to us for help. What  blessed me too: a little girl asked to pray for Yerko, a very needy boy who comes to Jesed - would you remember him too? His mum is in prison for manslaughter..

So rejoice with us, and I trust you may be challenged too as some were in the time we had in the church when people asked us: "how can we help, what can I do."  More pictures go to fotogallery.

Soon I will travel again, first to visit Dutch prisoners and then next month to continue the visit to churches in the UK.

We covet your prayers, especially for Felina who will shoulder most of the work in the ministry, leading the teams to continue aiming for excellence in the way we serve our teenagers and children. I said to someone: we have two hands: the intervention of the Lord, and the work of the professionals on the teams - both working together to achieve the best we can in the ministry.

This comes with love and warm greetings, also from the teams, Fineke

A safe place, that’s what each teenager and child who comes to us longs for.
A place where they can be themselves and be listened to. A place also, where they can get out of their confusion and have the opportunity to get a fresh grip on their lives. Frequently this is made much more difficult because their parents don’t appreciate how important the part they should be playing is.
