In God is my salvation en my glory,

the rock of my strength and my refuge, is in God.
Psalm 62:7
Dear friends,
Summer is well on its way; I trust you have time for a break and to recharge your batteries!
It's been my privilege to be in two conferences before starting to visit some churches in Scotland and the North of the U.K. Sharing the topics that were given to me within the themes of the conferences was a joy, as well as receiving a lot of great teaching and worshipping the Lord together.
At the same time, in Bolivia things are progressively difficult. People are preparing themselves for the upcoming elections August the 17th. Whoever will be elected as president, is going to face the really difficult task to deal with the crisis we are in, which isn’t going to change overnight. Even the most resilient people have a hard time, in the Mission we are grateful to belong to the Lord as He looks after us day by day.
Last month we organised a special day for the children in Jesed, where they got the opportunity to purchase things in our “store” using the points they earned with their achievements. The joy in the children’s faces as they chose what they wished was priceless. We were grateful that this time we had many shoes as well, no child should wear flipflops in the winter. I might add that La Paz and El Alto can be really cold because of our altitude. (12500 ft approx.) This activity really encourages the children, as they see the fruit of the hard work they have done, for instance with our speech and language therapist and educational psychologist.
You may remember that one of my concerns was to finish the update on our NGO registration. Thank you for praying, I was able to submit all on time. There still are two other unfinished bureaucratic things being a right stone in my shoe – to use a mild analogy, please continue to pray for that too.

Through the Lords' amazing provision I received thousands of vials of pain medication for the medical post in the high security prison, a token of the love of the Lord for the men in the prison who otherwise would have to go without. Do pray for the men that meet in the different little churches in the prison and also that literature many have received will be read and understood.
This month we celebrate the 33rd anniversary of Mision Adulam. We are grateful to the Lord and also for the teams, who give themselves to our young people and children. Do pray for our teams, they get some very bad behaviour at times from our teenagers. Pray for their safety and for the teenagers in rehabilitation from alcohol and drugs, that they would understand that their struggle is just that, and not a fight against the team.
Thank you once again for standing with us! Bye for now, with love in Jesus, Fineke
